Post the Government announcements yesterday, Cricket Victoria released the following this morning,
· “No training is to take place in metropolitan Melbourne until Mon 2nd Nov at this stage.
· Green light? – Potentially next weekend. Subject to case numbers, State Gov may allow training to commence from Mon 26th. We will be pushing for this weekend if we can.
· No change from the weekend for matches. Originally the planning of a November 21 start date had been based on getting the green light to train on Sun 25 Oct, so until next weekend’s announcements nothing will change. However, we will need to monitor the 25km limit and metro/regional ‘ring of steel’ as these would have significant implications on the competition, so we’re seeking some clarification as to when they might be eased further”
